Exploring the city and having quality accommodations is an important part of your AEC experiences.
AEC student advisors will be your go-to resource in having the most comfortable stay while studying with us in Los Angeles. Please contact your campus advisors for help with airport pickup, housing, and health insurance needs as an international student.
AEC has an extensive network of experienced tutors specializing in ESL, as well as other languages (Spanish, Mandarin, Portuguese, French, etc). With one-on-one private tutoring, your tutor will focus on achieving your language goals.
Students can start out with an 1-hour trial class before committing to a package below.
The International Test of English Proficiency (iTEP) is a language assessment tool that measures the English skills of non-native English speakers. The test is supported by more than 700 institutions including the California State University system. The exam is entirely computerized, and takes 90-minutes to complete.
Please contact the closest AEC campus to reserve a time to take the iTEP Slate-plus (for high school admissions) or Academic-plus (for college/university admissions) exam.

American English College provides airport pick-up and drop-off to all students.
Please allow at least 48 hours prior to your arrival to ensure your airport pickup. To arrange for this service, please complete the request form with your flight information.
Airport Pick-up / Drop-off: $150 each way
American English College manages all housing needs at the school, ensuring you are well-serviced throughout your study experience. Every home is inspected by a team member, and later personally match made with a student to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience, all tailored to you.
Homestay: A unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the culture, and practice English outside of class through living with an American host family.
We recommend all students to purchase health insurance while studying in the United States. Having health coverage will help protect you from high, unexpected costs while ensuring quality and affordable medical assistance when necessary.
